Lower East Side

Lower East Side

Over 200 years ago, immigrant families from around the globe followed their American Dream by immigrating to New York and finding apartments on the Lower East Side. A place where dreams came true, this district just east of Soho and south of the East Village is bustling again and has become a prime district for artists, professionals and families of all kind.

Boutiques, bars, clubs, and restaurants give The Lower East Side a fashionable scene. The area has been reborn with the migration of young professionals and artists who bring economic growth.

The History of the Lower East Side, is steeped in the beginnings of New York and of the United States. The Tenement museum shows how past residents once lived and work in the area. Incredible ethnic cuisine can be found on every block, Delicatessens, Indian, Thai, just to name a few.

Like much of downtown, apartments on Lower East Side are comprised mainly of charming brownstone style buildings. However with recent developments more and more mid-rise and high-rise buildings are being built for apartment seekers looking for a luxury bargain.
